Scientific Expertise
My research focuses on the ecology and evolution of emerging viral zoonoses. I'm interested in the interactions between viruses, their hosts and their environment, and the consequences of anthropogenic changes on disease emergence. Specifically, I work on diverse aspects related to the ecology, epidemiology and molecular evolution of influenza virus, coronavirus and astrovirus, in birds and bats.
