Research interests:
I develop a particular interest in the study of arboviruses and their interactions with host cells. During my master's degree I studied Zika virus and its interaction with epithelial and neuronal cells. All along my thesis, I expect to develop my knowledge of Dengue virus, studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the pathogenicity of this virus.
Research areas:
- Biology for health
- Host-pathogens interactions relative to tropical vector-borne diseases
- Molecular tools to study emerging infectious agents
Education:
In progress – Doctor’s degree, University of Reunion Island, La Reunion, France, Molecular Virology
2019 - Master of Research, University of Reunion Island, La Reunion, France, Biology for Health
2017 - Bachelor of Science, University of Reunion Island, La Reunion, France, Biology
Work experiences:
In progress – Doctor’s degree
- Molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in epidemic Dengue virus (2018/2019) pathogenicity at Reunion Island
2019 - Master 2 internship
- Development and characterization of virological tools for the study of miR-4279 in Zika virus infection
2018 – Master 1 internship
- Study of the expression of P53 isoforms following infection with Zika virus in neuronal cell line IMR32
Research grant:
MRT scholarship, Allocations from the Ministry of Research, France
